Current Covid Policy on Vaccination and Masks
AS OUR BORDERS HAVE OPENED SINCE NOVEMBER 2021 AND COVID HAS SPREAD WIDELY WITH OMICRON VERY CONTAGIOUS
AND WE HAVE A DUTY OF CARE FOR OUR MEMBERS
The Henley and Grange Arts Society Committee has decided the following to keep our members and visitors as safe as possible.
AS OF THE 6TH OF JANUARY 2022
ALL ADULTS ATTENDING CLUB PREMISES WILL NEED TO:
BE AT LEAST DOUBLE VACCINATED; AND
WEAR A MASK;
OR PRODUCE A FORMAL MEDICAL EXEMPTION FOR THE COMMITTEE
COVID UPDATE RE MASKS
We are all very tired of all the confusion and limitations Covid-19 is imposing upon us all, but the ever changing Covid environment is evolving daily. We must roll with the punches and adapt our activities to the circumstances. It is not always easy to maintain social distancing within the clubrooms.
We wish to thank members for the co-operation they have already shown with previous closures and restrictions due to Covid and dearly hope that we can keep the clubrooms open and safe.
When the Covid hotline is asked, “If all people who come to our activities have shown proof of double vaccination, do they have to wear masks while in those activities?” The Covid hotline answer is “definitely YES, at least for the next couple of months after which the situation may be revised”.
If wearing a mask is uncomfortable you can try:
Going outside and removing the mask for a few minutes.
Attending the activity for a short time only.
Finding a mask style that is more comfortable for you.
When exhibition sitting, keep a mask handy and wear it only when visitors arrive.
Please note, lowering your mask below your nostrils is not an option.
We hope that we can rely on the honesty of members regarding their vaccination status – but if requested by a Tutor or Committee member, evidence of vaccination status will need to be shown.
