Yes, the classes cater for all levels from beginners to more confident students. The tutor will provide a structured lesson each week based on the group’s interests and abilities. Please note, lessons are not outcomes based. Each student is encouraged to try new media, solve problems, work co-operatively and, independently. Engagement with the art process and building confidence is the aim of each lesson, not the outcome.
We encourage students to display their artwork for one week on the walls of the painting studio to share with the other members. Students generally take their work home after this. An A4 drawing folder can be stored in the painting studio by each student.
